5 Easy DIY Face Masks
Whether it’s dullness, blemishes, or dryness, we all experience some issues with our skin from time to time. These easy, effective masks will help you get glowing, radiant skin, with simple ingredients you probably already have in your pantry. Bonus: they’re all natural, with no harsh chemicals! Be sure to do a spot check first to check for any reactions.
You only need one ingredient for this super-effective face mask – an egg white! Separate the white from the yolk and whisk until nice and foamy. Apply the mixture to clean skin and leave on for 15-30 minutes, until the egg has started to dry, and you can feel your skin tightening up. For oily skin, you can add the juice from 1/2 a lemon to the egg mixture. Rinse off with warm water.
Warm up 2 tablespoons of honey. Mix in 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and the juice from one lemon wedge. Stir well to combine and apply to clean skin, massaging gently. Leave on for about 15-20 minutes and rinse well.
Combine 2 tablespoons each of honey and nutmeg, along with 2 teaspoons of milk. If the consistency is too thick, you can add a little more milk. Stir well to combine, and slather onto clean skin. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with warm water and finish with moisturizer.
Add ¼ teaspoon turmeric to one heaping teaspoon of plain Greek yogurt. Combine with ½ teaspoon honey and stir well. Turmeric is an Indian spice you can find at your local grocery store. Be careful with it, as it stains clothing and fabrics easily. Apply a layer to clean skin and leave on between 5-15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
Juice ½ a lemon and combine with 1 tablespoon raw honey. Apply to clean skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 15-30 minutes (depending on your skin’s sensitivity) and rinse well with warm water.
