5 Things You Don’t Want To Skimp On If You Want A Great Wedding

Summary

My article talks about some of the things people should be prepared to spend a little extra on when their big day arrives even if it means spending less money on other things.

It’s always hard trying to work out your wedding budget and it can almost drive you insane. Don’t forget there are some things worth spending more on, whereas with others you don’t need to go as crazy. Let’s take a quick look at some of the different things you don’t want to skimp on if you want a great wedding.

The wedding photographer

Some might argue the wedding photographer is the most important person at the wedding after the bride and groom. When the clock ticks past twelve it means the day is gone and the only thing left to remind you of your wedding day will be the memories in your head and the photos in your hand. Memories have a funny way of becoming a little hazy over the years, so if you spend money on a great photographer they will ensure you have photos to treasure for a lifetime.

A great band or DJ

Entertainment is so important because you can’t expect the guests to keep themselves entertained, so you need to make sure you spend money on a great band or DJ. Your guests might appreciate if you have a nice dress, but they won’t know the difference between a cheap one and an expensive one. They will know the difference between a great band and one that doesn’t even know how to play their instruments properly, so don’t try to save more money by hiring a terrible band or DJ.

The wedding venue

You don’t have to spend a scary amount of money getting married in the biggest venue possible, but a nice venue is much better than a horrible little hall where people will be forced to ignore the walls because they’re falling apart. Nobody cares if you turn up to the church in the fanciest limousine possible, but they do appreciate a nice venue because they’ve got to spend the entire night there. Cost doesn’t matter at the end of the day as long as the venue is attractive.

Your flower arrangement

The wedding flowers will be one of the biggest things guests notice throughout the day. They will be on all the tables and hanging from the walls. You will have lots of white and pink flowers, but you’ll probably have lots of different colors too. Can you imagine how plain your wedding venue would look if there wasn’t many beautiful flowers lying around? It’s well worth skimping on the food if it means more flowers because people won’t care what they’re eating anyway.

A wedding nanny

Some people want to go to your wedding to enjoy themselves and it’s hard to do that when there are lots of screaming kids running around. Everyone has to be careful the children don’t get hurt as they run around their feet on the dance floor. You definitely wouldn’t be wasting your money if you spent some of it on a wedding nanny because nobody would have to worry about the kids. The nanny would make sure all of them were safe and behaving themselves at all times.
