One of the most interesting bridal fashion trends that we’re keeping an eye on is, frankly, metallics! Lest you think that the things that shimmer should be banished to the 1980’s, we’re here to tell you that these shimmery fabrics are making a huge — and fashionable — comeback! Here’s a list of some of the metallic must-haves that you should keep in mind as you consider a glimmering look for your upcoming wedding:
- Philip Lim was one of the first on the runway to bring back the metallic shimmer, and he did that by incorporating small slivers of metallic fabric into a larger piece of clothing with different types of fabrics. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money on the Philip Lim type clothing, check out this cheaper option that’s just as stylish, courtesy of Betabrand, that will give your groomsmen some much needed flair!
- Of course, if you want to take a look at a bolder option, check out what Champagne Sheen offered — it was a full body suit covered in a matte shimmering metallic. Gold, silver, and bronze from head to toe were all gorgeous colors for our bridal fashionistas to consider, and because the shimmer was more of a matte tone — as opposed to a glossy tone — these suits could be worn anywhere, at any time.
