You can find rocks in your own back yard, or start a collection from special times in your life (such as picking up a rock from each vacation you take together). Spend some quality time together painting simple sketches or writing significant dates in your relationship.
3. Family History Map. The family history map is a really exciting project to begin as a new couple. Put up a map on your wall, and use different markers to commemorate special milestones in your life together. One type of mark could stand for houses you’ve owned together, while another might stand for vacation spots. On day one of married life, the map will have only one mark: your wedding day and location! Years later, who knows what it will contain? Different houses, different travel spots, maybe even a few kids! There is no telling what is going to happen in your life, but whatever does, the two of you will chalk it down together!
4. Pictures, pictures, pictures. You are never going to regret this one. Pictures can make some of the best decor, period. Make sure you have plenty of snapshots of the two of you around to remind you how much you love each other.
