Nontraditional Gowns rule at the 2016 Autumn/Fall Bridal Fashion Week

Bridal Fashion news is buzzing after Nontraditional bridal gowns ruled the runway after the recent Autumn/Winter 2016 Bridal Fashion Week.  Every bride likes to make a statement and it would seem all the top designers agree.  Whether you like a short hemline, modern cuts or a nontraditional color; the catwalks held a gown for every bride out there.  Following are a few of Autumn/Winter’s top trends:

  • Cropped Tops – Two piece gowns have taken center stage this year giving brides the ability to accentuate their silhouettes in sexy, but tasteful new ways.  Theia and Elizabeth Fillmore’s collections showed us beautiful, yet graceful, cropped pieces that would wow any crowd.  Brides out there love the myriad of possibilities available to them to mix and match tops and bottoms to create their perfect bridal vision.
  • Floral Prints – With Spring around the corner the bridal industry is already looking towards the new season.  Floral prints were abundant this year.  Light and bold prints to graphic lacing and embellished embroidery graced the runway from designers like Houghton and Naeem Khan.
  • Feathers – Whether the gown is just accented, or they make the gown, feathers bring a whole new level of luxury to a wedding gown.  Designer Vera Wang used black feathers in her collection to create some amazing avant-garde dresses.
  • Bridal Suits – Who says that a bride can’t wear pants?  Some brides want a more casual, yet glamorous, alternative to a gown.  Designers like Carolina Herrera and Pamella Roland are answering this call to fashion arms.  Their elegant and chic designs showcase beautiful silhouettes and luxurious fabrics that scream ‘Here comes the bride’!

This years 2016 Autumn/Winter Bridal Fashion Week shows that brides no longer have to live in a pure white princess shaped box.  Designers celebrate each brides unique personalities and body shapes with countless designs and options to choose from this year.
